Chenango Forks was defeated by Pleasantville in the Class B State Championship football game 28-14 at the Carrier Dome. The Blue Devils completed their season with twelve wins and one loss. The Pleasantville Panthers won their first state championship after two previous attempts.
The Binghamton Devils surrendered a two-goal lead in the third period and eventually lost in overtime to the visiting Rochester Americans, 4-3, in front of 3,998 at Floyd L. Maines Veterans Memorial Arena on Saturday night.
On Friday, Binghamton outshot Rochester, 32-29, however the Devils lost by a score of 10-3 in Rochester.
