Justin Algaier also passed Brad K for second. Keselowski struggled home third.
Mark Martin saluted the crowd, but didn’t celebrate with a burnout.
Excellent second by Algaier with his new Team, Turner Motorsports. Lost ride with Penske at the end of last season due to sponsorship problems.
Perhaps the story of the race was Danica Patrick’s fourth place finish.
There was nothing fluky about her finish. Driving and strategy got her on the lead lap from two laps down.
A perfect fuel strategy also contributed.
Her fourth place is the best finish ever in the series by a female driver.
The previous record holder, Sara Christian, was fifth at Heidelberg, PA in October 1949.
Kyle Busch and Kevin Harvick were high profile DNFs.
In other Nascar news, NASCAR has placed Robby Gordon on indefinite probation after he and another driver were involved in a fight in the garage at Las Vegas Motor Speedway.
The other driver is said to be Kevin Conway, who was NOT suspended.
Conway drove seven races for Robby Gordon, a stint that has generated multiple law suits between the drivers.
