NASCAR has announced major changes to the race format this season. Races for the Monster Energy Cup, the Xfinity Series, and the Truck Series will now be split into three segments. The first two segments will make up about half the race. Points will be awarded for each stage and the winner of each final stage will qualify for the chase. The length of the races will remain the same, but the segment lengths will change each week. The new format was put together by a panel of drivers, teams, and track officials. They hope it will make races more competitive and enjoyable for fans. You can hear every NASCAR Cup and Xfinity Series race live on WEBO this season, beginning next month at Daytona.
