NASCAR has placed Robby Gordon on indefinite probation after an altercation with Kevin Conway in the Sprint Cup garage on Friday evening.
There has been no comment about the reason for the fight.
Conway drove sevens race for Gordon’s team in 2010, and multiple law suits have resulted from that relationship.
Gordon is reportedly owed $750,000 by Conway’s sponsor Extenze Racing.
Gordon was allowed to race Sunday. A Nascar official said the rule book allows NASCAR to take emergency action in such situations.
He finished 31st.
Conway said he filed a police report Friday evening.
Conway, who was not placed on probation, finished last in Saturday’s Nationwide race in a car owned by Joe Nemechek.
Conway completed two laps.
