Two Bradford County high school baseball teams won District 4 Championships yesterday at Penn State. In Class AAAA, Athens pitcher Cody Jennings allowed five hits over seven innings as the Wildcats edged Mifflingburg 3-2 to win their first District 4 title in 20 years. In Class A, Sayre junior Jordan Rockwell gave up only two hits as the Redskins dominated Cowanesque Valley to win 10-0 for their first District title since 2010.
In boys lacrosse, Vestal was the only local team to win in the quarterfinals yesterday, as the Golden Bears defeated East Syracuse Minoa 13-9.
