Syracuse won their fourth straight game with a clutch effort against Georgetown 58 – 51 in Washington.
The game was tied at 45 with seven minutes remaining in the game, but Syracuse seemed the better team throughout and pulled away down the stretch.
Georgetown clearly missed Chris Wright, who had surgery this week for a broken left hand.
Wright had an average of 13.1 points per game, second to Austin Freeman, and led the team in assists.
Freeman scored 16 points for the Hoyas. Scoop Jardine led Syracuse with 17.
Former President Bill Clinton and former Georgetown star Alonzo Mourning were in the house.
Syracuse now has 24 wins and 6 losses. Their final regular season game is against DePaul on March 5th.
