Syracuse University introduced their new head football coach in a press conference Monday. 54-year-old Dino Babers will be the 30th head coach in program history. He comes to Syracuse after two years as the head coach at Bowling Green. The Falcons rode a high-octane offense to a MAC Championship last week. Before Bowling Green, he was the head coach at Eastern Illinois, where the program set several offensive records and quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo was drafted in the second round of the NFL Draft. Babers has a wealth of experience from around the country, including several years as a wide receivers coach at Baylor.
Syracuse men’s basketball will be back in action Tuesday as they host Colgate at the Carrier Dome live on WEBO. The Orange are looking to get back on track after consecutive losses to Wisconsin and Georgetown. Game time is 7pm with pregame coverage on WEBO at 6pm.
