Syracuse University has dismissed their head football coach. Scott Shafer will be let go at the end of the season after posting a 13-23 record since he was hired in 2013. He will coach his last game for the Orange as they host Boston College this Saturday at the Carrier Dome. Kickoff is at 12:30pm and it will be heard live on WEBO. The Orange are mired in an eight-game losing streak after starting the season 3-0. Shafer was promoted from defensive coordinator after Doug Marrone left SU to coach the Buffalo Bills. A national search for his replacement is underway.
