A Tioga baseball standout will play at Penn State next year.
Patton Taylor signed his National Letter of Intent last week. The senior was a first-team all-state pick last year after leading the Tigers with a .476 batting average and 29 runs batted in. He was 5-1 as a pitcher with 63 strikeouts in 30 innings.
Tioga baseball coach and Athletic Director Bob Seymour says Taylor chose Penn State over Wake Forest to be closer to his family and because of their state-of-the-art facilities.
Patton is the son of Tioga Central School District Superintendent Scot Taylor.
