New York trout and salmon fishing season starts tomorrow, April 1st, and the state is looking to make it easier for New Yorkers to enjoy the outdoors on opening day. For the first time, fishermen can purchase and print a fishing license from home by visiting license center dot ny dot gov. The state has also reduced fishing license fees, improved access for fishing at various sites across the state, and expanded fishing clinics as part of New York’s Open for Fishing and Hunting initiative. Anglers can also consider investing in a lifetime fishing license that can be converted to an Adventure License. With the Adventure License, you’ll be eligible to receive a free adventure license plate for your vehicle in one of nine different designs.
