Twenty-one year old Ricky Taylor and veteran Max Angelelli have won the Sahlen’s Six Hours of the Glen at Watkins Glen.
Taylor, driving the last shift for the first time, held off series leader Scott Pruett for the win.
Taylor and Angelelli were driving the #10 Suntrust Racing Chevrolet Delarra; it was there second win in six days.
They won the Memorial Day race at Lime Rock Park in Connecticut.
The Suntrust Team is second in the series behind the Telmex Team of Pruett and Memo Rojas.
Leh Keen and Andrew Davis won the GT class in the No. 59 Brumos Racing Porsche.
This was the first win for Watkins’ Glen legend Hurley Haywood’s GT team in several years.
Haywood has seven wins at Watkins Glen, three LeMans 24 Hour wins, and five Daytona 24 Hours wins.
Curiosly he never won the Watkins Glen Six Hours as a driver.
