A burger eating contest at Bill’s Restaurant in Owego last night raised nearly $3,000 for the Tioga County Rural Ministry. Seven different competitors ate as many burgers as they could over an hour including WEBO’s Chris Schmidt. People sponsored an amount for each burger, or gave a flat donation. All told, the unofficial total of money raised was $2,889. Photos from the event are available on the WEBO Facebook page.
