The coordinator of the Catholic Charities’ Y.E.S. Program, Sonnie Sigfried, joined us on today’s WEBO Morning Show. Catholic Charities is currently looking for youth mentors to serve in Tioga County and parts of Tompkins County. Youth mentors are responsible for meeting with the child they mentor for a couple hours each week to build the child’s skills.
A mentor must be able to pass a background check and have a safe driving record. Mentors can sign up to receive a gas stipend for their travel while mentoring. Training will be available.
