The Owego Free Academy Boys Baseball Team jumped to a 3-0 lead in the first inning and it was pitcher Jake Shelley needed. It was senior Recognition Night for OFA and the team did not disappoint. With 2 outs in the first OFA took advantage of a throwing error to keep the inning alive. They then added 3 straight hits including a double by Shelley and a triple by catcher Tayler Woloch to score 3 runs. The story of the game was Shelley, who took a no hitter into the last inning. It was broken up with 2 outs when Erik Johnson doubled to deep center field. The Blue Devils then reached base with their next 2 hitters, both reaching on fielding errors and the first scored Knapp. Shelly finished with 7 innings pitched, 1 hit 2 walks, 1 run (not earned) and 13 strikeouts. The game will air in its entirety on Thursday night at 7 PM on 1330 AM and 107.9 FM, News Radio WEBO.
