After the Maine-Endwell school district has seen a number of cuts to its budget, resulting in many sports teams being cut, some area parents worked together on a fundraiser to help save the district’s bowling team. On Sunday afternoon, a fundraiser was held at Laurel Bowl with the proceeds going toward the Maine-Endwell bowling team. For ten dollars, attendees were given a game of bowling and a pasta dinner. There are about 25 players between the boys and girls bowling teams, and the money raised will go toward busing the students to and from their matches. They are looking to raise about $2,000 to keep the team intact.
