The search continues for jurors in the Cal Harris trial in Schoharie County. As of Wednesday night, 12 jurors and two alternates had been selected. But yesterday morning, one of the alternate jurors was dismissed after speaking with the judge. Screening continued yesterday for more alternates, and out of the final pool of nine jurors, only one was selected. Opening statements have been pushed to Tuesday, as jury selection will continue on Monday. According to the prosecution, Schoharie County Judge George Bartlett would like to have six alternate jurors because of the length of the trial, which is estimated at six to eight weeks.
