Pennsylvania State Police report one person died after losing control of their car on I-81 North in New Milford yesterday morning. Troopers said the roadway was covered in snow and ice when a crash involving two vehicles occurred. The first driver lost control, hit a snow bank, and flipped onto its side and into the travel lane. A second vehicle then struck the roof of the sideways vehicle. Then hit a snow bank before coming to a rest. State Police identified the driver of the first vehicle as Mariam Razzazan of Peckville. She was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the second vehicle was Terrance Landry of Ottawa. He and his passenger, Carolyn Landry of Ottawa were taken to the hospital with minor to moderate injuries.
