The NYS Gaming Commission approved the new request for applications for the Southern Tier yesterday morning. The Gaming Commission approved a new request for a fourth commercial casino license, to be located in the Southern Tier, formally opening a new bidding process. The New York Gaming Facility Location Board unanimously approved the Request for Applications on Feb. 27th. The request for application is now available online. The applications will be due July 6th. Tioga Downs is the only known entity expected to apply for a license at this time.
