After a year since his death, 20-year-old Kevin Ward Jr’s family is filing a wrongful death lawsuit against NASCAR driver Tony Stewart. This lawsuit comes after Stewart hit Ward as he was walking on the racetrack of Canandaigua Motorsports Park. Ward’s family says that Stewart was negligent at the time of the incident. They also say that he sped up and skidded into Ward. The incident has already been ruled an accident by a grand jury. The family is seeking a trial and an undisclosed amount of cash. Stewart has yet to comment.
