Congressman Tom Reed is working with colleagues to present legislation that would make commerce a bit easier for small businesses. One of the pieces of legislation that Reed is working on getting passed, makes some tax provisions on small businesses permanent, instead of needing annual renewal. Reed says that this will help businesses more easily make financial decisions, with more certainty in taxing. Some other bills being pushed by Reed would also help promote international business, by streamlining and simplifying business’ tax obligation within the United States. The state legislature still needs to vote on these suggested changes.
