Over 1 million New Yorkers, including many people right here in the Southern Tier, could potentially be at risk of identity theft, following a security breach of an Experian server. The compromised server contained information such as the names, addresses, birth dates, social security numbers, and other information about individuals who applied for T-Mobile services between September 1st and September 16th of this year. If you applied for T-Mobile Services during this time period, Experian and T-Mobile are offering credit monitoring and identity protection services at no charge. For more information about your options as a potential victim of this security breach, you can call Experian at (866)-369-0422.
