Good luck to local high school teams in state playoffs this weekend. The Tioga football team will play Rochester’s Bishop Kearney in a state semifinal at 5pm Friday at Cicero-North Syracuse High School. Maine-Endwell will follow at 8pm with a game against Buffalo’s South Park. Chenango Forks will play Bath at noon on Saturday. All of the games will be televised live on Time Warner Cable Sports. The Owego and Tioga volleyball teams will play for state championships at Glens Falls. Pool play will be held Saturday and the top two teams will play for the state title on Sunday.
The NASCAR Sprint Cup Series Championship will be decided live on WEBO Sunday. Jeff Gordon, Kyle Busch, Kevin Harvick, and Martin Truex, Jr. are the final four drivers left in the Chase for the Sprint Cup. The highest finisher in Sunday’s race will take home the title. WEBO Coverage will begin at 2pm Sunday.
The Syracuse football and basketball teams will play a doubleheader Saturday on WEBO. Football will play at NC State at 12:30 while basketball will host Elon at 7pm. Pregame coverage will begin at 11:30am for football and 6pm for basketball on WEBO.
