$3.6 Million in federal funding has been saved for B.C Transit. The public transportation service in Broome County was at risk of losing this money earlier this year, after the U.S. congress was looking to cut federal spending. Congressman Richard Hanna announced yesterday though that a select number of states were spared from the spending cuts, with New York being one of them. B.C. Transit will now continue to be able to provide the same services throughout Broome County.
