Broome County has appointed a new Director of Emergency Services. Current Broome County Legislature Chairperson Jerry Manirich has been selected for the role. Manirich has been an emergency responder for over 30 years, and has worked at the state senate district level as a fire department liason. Manirich still has to receive approcal from the Broome County legislature before assuming his new role. If approved, Manirich will start work as the Broome County Director of Emergency Services on January 1st.
