A key witness for the defense in the fourth Cal Harris murder trial testified in Schoharie County Supreme Court Tuesday.  Spencer area farmer Kevin Tubbs frequently traveled by the Harris estate.  Tubbs testified Tuesday that he saw a blonde woman and a young muscular man standing near a black pickup truck at the end of the Harris’ driveway on September 12, 2001.  Tubbs said he was hauling a large load of hay and said the blonde woman he saw seemed upset.  He said he believes it was Michele Harris but also said he can’t be sure.  Tubbs waited 6 years to come forward with that information, stating that at the time, he didn’t feel it was relevant.  That new information turned over the first conviction, and lead to the second trial.
