A man has been confirmed dead after being hit by a train in Waverly last night. He was found just after 10pm on River Road. Authorities say that a woman was also found nearby with injuries. Her injuries, however, are not believed to have been caused by the train. Authorities are still investigating why she was in the area at the time of the incident. Investigators were able to identify the injured woman but not the deceased man. No further information has been released at this time.
