The Tioga County Republican Committee has announced its candidate for legislator in Tioga County’s fifth legislative district, Interim Legislator Dennis Mullen. He will run for the county seat that was once held by Ray Case, who passed away in December. The district includes Waverly and the Town of Barton. Mullen was previously appointed by legislators to fill the seat, but the state ruled that it must go to a vote. Election Day is Nov. 8. Mullen will be running against Democratic candidate Patrick Ayers.
