The new Crown Cork and Seal can production facility in Nichols is expected to be completed in three months. The new 525,000 square foot facility is reaching the final stages of its $132.8 million construction and is expected to be finished by January of 2017. Crown Cork and Seal spokespersons say that this is the largest facility that the Fortune 500 company has ever built. At peak production, the facility is expected to be able to produce approximately 7,000 cans a minute.
