Additional information has been released on the death of a Broome County Jail inmate on October 22nd. In paperwork submitted to the New York State Commission of Corrections, the Broome County Jail reported that the most recent inmate death was the result of suicide. During a press conference, Broome County Sheriff Dave Harder refused to comment on the report or any additional details surrounding the identity of the inmate or cause of death. According to Harder, the state’s Commission of Corrections is conducting a full investigation, and no additional details will be released until the investigation has been completed.
