The Owego volleyball team came up five points short of winning their second straight state championship Sunday, falling 25-20 to Honeoye Falls/Lima in the fifth set. After winning the first set, Owego dropped the next two before coming back to win the fourth set and set up a winner-take-all fifth set. Honeoye Falls/Lima was the top seed after Saturday’s pool play, dropping only one set to Owego while the Indians were 4-2.
