The United States Army Corps of Engineers and New York State Department of Environmental Conservation are joining efforts to conduct a $3 million study on ways to better prepare against potential future flooding. The study will focus on portions of Tioga, Broome, Chemung, and Cortland Counties. Community members gathered at the Tioga County Office Building last night to provide their experiences and input. Two additional public meetings are being held. One will be at the Town of Chenango Hall this evening at 6:30pm. The last will be held at the Sidney Memorial Public Library on November 30th also at 6:30pm.
