The Tioga County Legislature is scheduled to vote on its 2017 budget proposal tomorrow evening. There will be a zero percent overall tax increase across the county. In addition, this is the 6th consecutive year that the Tioga County budget proposal has remained under New York State’s property tax cap. This is also the 2nd year the county has decreased its general fund expenditures. In total, next year’s Tioga County Budget is expected to total about $4.6 million. Tomorrow’s Tioga County Legislature meeting is scheduled to begin at 6pm in the Hubbard auditorium of the Tioga County Office Building on Main Street in Owego.
