The New York State Sportswriter’s Association announced all-state football teams for Classes B, C, and D today. State champion Newark Valley had five players selected to the Class C first-team: David Crow, Trentyn Rupert, AJ Coleman, Jake Payne, and Brett Stewart. In Class B, Chenango Forks star LJ Watson was named co-player of the year and several of his teammates were named all-state. Waverly punter Brendyn Stillman was named first-team, and Owego lineman Caleb Marshall was named to the third team. The full all-state teams are available online at www.roadtosyracuse.com.
