It’s not just gambling at Tioga Downs, track officials have announced a new-look stakes schedule for the 2017 racing season at Tioga and sister track Vernon Downs that will bring the top horses to upstate New York to compete for more than $3.7 million in purses this year. More than one million dollars will be up for grabs on a pair of blockbuster Sundays in August. The full 2017 racing schedule will be unveiled as soon as it receives approval from the state gaming commission.
