In basketball, Andrew White scored 40 points to lead Syracuse past Georgia Tech 90-61 yesterday as the Orange wrapped up the regular season. Syracuse is seeded eighth for the ACC Tournament and will play Miami Wednesday at 12pm live on WEBO.

In high school, the Vestal girls won their third-straight Section 4 Class A title with a victory over Maine-Endwell on Saturday. Johnson City beat Vestal in the boys game. Waverly’s season ended at the hands of Norwich, as the Wolverines lost the Class B game Friday. Seton won the girls title.

The Section 4 boys all-star team won the New York State Bowling Championship yesterday in Syracuse. The team included Jake Robertson from Tioga, Tim Sladish of Union-Endicott, Trevor Kimble from Windsor, Zach Bobbett of Union Springs, Derek Lisi from Corning, and Sam McDonald of Elmira.
