After Broome County was ranked as the 55th healthiest county in the state, Executive Jason Garnar announced the creation of a Get Healthy Broome Task Force yesterday. The task force of several county departments and legislators will work together to explore opportunities and provide information to county residents to improve the health outcomes and health factors in Broome. The County Health Rankings measure the health of communities by examining how long people live and how healthy they feel. Tioga County ranked 36th this year.
