A jury has been selected for the arson trial of a former Endicott firefighter. 41-year-old Jason Stokes is on trial in Broome County Court, accused of setting fire to his own home in August while his wife and two teenage children were sleeping inside. The three were able to make it out of the house safely. Broome County District Attorney Steve Cornwell (left) says investigators found one tank of gas inside the home as well as bottles and cans filled with flammable substances. Stokes was a firefighter in Endicott for 11 years. If convicted on the arson charge, he faces up to 25 years in prison. Opening arguments are scheduled for today.
