A fundraiser is planned for this Friday to support the Tioga County Historical Society. A performance of “First Ladies” by Judith Present features several president’s wives telling their stories about what life as the first lady. Dolly Madison, Mary Todd Lincoln, Mamie Eisenhower, Lady Bird Johnson and Nancy Reagan are among the women who give an honest assessment of their lives and how they impacted their husband’s presidencies. This play has been performed at museums, historical societies, adult communities and small theatres throughout the region.
