A major weapons seizure has been made in Broome County. District Attorney Steve Cornwell and local law enforcement officials announced the arrest of 65-year-old Ramadan Abdullah yesterday after four handguns, eight assault weapons, one shotgun, and two rifles were seized from his storage unit. They also recovered thousands of rounds of ammunition and another loaded firearm at other properties he owns. The search warrants were issued after Abdullah was arrested by Johnson City Police for shoplifting ammunition from a local store. He is now facing several felony charges for criminal possession of a weapon and remains in the Broome County Jail without bail.
