Now that school is out for the summer, this week marks the start of the Summer Meals Program at some locations in Tioga County. That includes the Marvin Park Pool, where lunches are available weekdays from 11:45am to 12:30pm. The sites at East Waverly Park and the Waverly High School are also open and handing out free breakfasts and lunches to area children weekdays through August. More sites will open soon across the county. A map of all 16 locations is available online at www.feedtioga.org. The Summer Food Program is coordinated by the Tioga County Anti-Hunger Task Force. It aims to ensure children continue to receive nutritious meals even when school is not in session.
