The trial of Jeremy Coates of Oxford, New York, began yesterday in Chenango County Court. Coates is alleged to have killed 58-year-old David Green during a robbery at Green’s home in Oxford in September of 2016. Melissa Crispell entered a guilty plea to the crime in May of 2017 and is expected to testify against Coates. Crispell was sentenced to 15 to 25 years in prison. Coates pled not guilty in October of 2016.
