Binghamton University is implementing new safety procedures after a fatal stabbing happened on campus earlier this month. President Harvey Stenger outlined new policies in a campus-wide email Thursday. Security cameras will be put in all residential halls that don’t already have them. The university is planning to give more resources to mental health and conflict resolution programs as well. And an enhanced notification system is being installed to better notify people of an emergency. The university also plans to work over the summer to start getting student feedback.
