Bradford court sends Owego, Binghamton and two Towanda men to PA state prison

(Towanda, PA) – Bradford County Court has sentenced John Morris, 44, of Owego, NY, to incarceration in a Pennsylvania State Correctional Facility for 30-72 months and restitution of $12, 385, for two counts of Burglary – Not at Home/No One Present, Felony 2. Troopers Cody Scepaniak and Leland Loziere, of the Pennsylvania State Police, arrested Morris following investigation of incidents in Windham Township on August 18, 2021, and October 8, 2021.

Bradford County District Attorney Albert C. Ondrey also reported these resolutions of criminal cases in Bradford County Court:

Louis Sophie, 42, of Binghamton, NY, was sentenced to incarceration in a Pennsylvania State Correctional Facility for an aggregate sentence of 18-48 months, fines of $50, plus court costs, for Failure to Comply with Registration Requirements, Felony 3, and Resisting Arrest, Misdemeanor 2. Trooper Robert Scatena, of the Pennsylvania State Police, arrested Sophie following investigation of an incident in Wyalusing Borough on April 15, 2022.

Jeffrey Kunkle, 33, of Towanda, PA, was sentenced to incarceration in a Pennsylvania State Correctional Facility for 1-5 years, fines of $1,500, plus court costs, for Driving Under the Influence, Misdemeanor 1, 2nd in 10 years. Trooper Steven Marianelli, of the Pennsylvania State Police, arrested Kunkle following investigation of an incident in Asylum Township on October 21, 2022.

James Carr, 32, of Towanda, PA, was sentenced to incarceration at a Pennsylvania State Correctional Facility for an aggregate sentence of 19 months to seven years for Possession with Intent to Deliver, Felony, and Possession of a Controlled Substance, Misdemeanor.
Trooper Kyle Evans, of the Pennsylvania State Police, arrested Carr following investigation of an incident in Troy Township on July 13, 2021.

Richard Barrett, 59, of Gillett, PA, was sentenced to incarceration in a Pennsylvania State Correctional Facility for 60 months to 17 years followed by Probation Supervision for a term of three years, Restitution of $330, and he will be placed on the Sexual Offender Registration for his lifetime, for the Rape of an Intellectually Disabled Person, Felony 1. Trooper Michael Morariu, of the Pennsylvania State Police, arrested Barrett following investigation of an incident in Ridgebury Township on September 12, 2021.
