Motorists are advised a pipe replacement project will continue this week on Route 220 in Ulster Township.

Starting on Tuesday, September 16, contractor L.C. Whitford will begin work on forming and pouring the cast in place section of the box culvert. Additional work includes excavation, backfill, and performing shoulder backup. Work will be completed behind the barriers and will have minimal impact on the motoring public.

Final paving will be scheduled in the next few weeks.

L.C. Whitford is the primary contractor for this $904,222 pipe replacement project. Work on this project includes tree removal, sediment control, removal of the existing pipe, installation of a concrete box culvert, approach work, and line painting. Work is anticipated to be completed in the November 2025, weather permitting.
