Two people were injured in a shooting in Elmira on Saturday evening.
According to Elmira Police, the incident occurred at around 6:45 p.m. on Saturday on the 700 block of Riverside Avenue.
When officers arrived they found two people with gunshot wounds to the leg. The victims were treated on scene before being transported to a local hospital.
The victims were reportedly listed in stable condition.
The shooting incident is under investigation. Anyone with information should contact Elmira Police at 607-737-5626.
The Chemung County Sheriff’s Office, West Elmira Police and New York State Police also responded to the scene.
