The body of a missing kayaker has been found in Yates County.
According to the Yates County Sheriff’s Office, the body was discovered following an extensive search by boat, drone and divers in Canandaigua Lake.
The 911 center received a call on Thursday about an overturned kayak in the area of the Vine Valley boat launch in Middlesex. The search lasted six hours before the body was recovered from the water.
The identity of the victim has not been released pending notification of family.
