The Pennsylvania State Police have identified the victim in the fatal crash on Route 6 near Wysox last month.
According to police, 38-year-old Brian R. King from Palmerton, Pennsylvania was driving a 2015 Volkswagen Jetta when it collided with a 2000 Kenworth Northwest tractor trailer at around 3:15 a.m. on Friday, Oct. 24.
Police said the tractor trailer was unable to avoid a collision with the Volkswagen, which was traveling at a high-rate of speed.
Both vehicles caught fire following the collision.
King was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver of the tractor trailer was not injured.
