The Tioga Tigers are heading back to the state playoffs after winning their 12th Section IV Class D football championship in the last 16 years.
The Tigers rolled to a 44-28 win over Trumansburg on Saturday in a game that lasted four hours due to a long lightning delay at Susquehanna Valley High School.
Senior Logan Bellis ran for over 300 yards and four touchdowns to lead the Tigers to the victory.
Dominic Palmer and Max Stauder scored first-half touchdowns to help Tioga return to the state quarterfinals.
Tioga will take on Section III champion Lowville at 5 p.m. on Friday at Vestal High School. The game can be heard live on Choice 102 and WEBO.
