The Elmira Police Department is investigating a shooting that happened Sunday night at a downtown parking garage.
Police say officers were called to the Centertown Parking Garage around 9:20 p.m. after receiving a report of a possible shooting. When officers arrived, they found one person who had been shot.
Authorities say the victim was taken from the scene to a nearby hospital for treatment. Police have not released the person’s identity or condition.
Investigators say the incident does not appear to be random and the investigation remains active.
