Two people were transported to the hospital following a house fire in Southport on Wednesday night.
The fire started at around 6:15 pm on the 900 block of Southport Ave. in Southport.
According to WETM-TV, two people were evacuated from the burning house and taken to a local hospital.
Firefighters from several departments battled the blaze.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
No further information has been released at this time.
